bring on the dust...

We recently decided to remodel the basement. There are a few room down there that had carpet and old paneling on the walls, and we decided to update them to hopefully help us sell our house. We needed to get new windows for those rooms anyway. To be able to start the process, we had to move everything out of those room (I was using one as my craft room/office). I have so much stuff and moving it all to the other rooms really made me not excited to have to move our whole house. I know I can get rid of a bunch of it, but a lot of it is stuff that I need/want to keep. There are boxes of old pictures that I need to go through, a bunch of my grandma's old dresses that I used to play dress up with when I was a little girl and stuff like that that I can't get rid of.

The big room after one day of demo. Daniel did a lot of the demo while I was at work, and I am glad that I wasn't around to see all the stuff he found when he pulled down the ceilings and walls! He did find a bunch of writing on the insulation where my dad and uncles had drawn all over it, including a note that said "dave and ken is nuts" :)

Daniel's friend Jay came over to help last night and since Lucy had been caged in her room all day while Daniel worked, I took her outside so she could move around. She was being so cute in the little car. She has some of the funniest faces!

Lucy loves being outside, she tries to escape out there whenever she can. She is getting so good at walking, she can now stand up in without assistance. She likes to pick up rocks and pick the dandelions.

We have been having lots of fun lately. Lucy is keeping us busy and she is learning and growing everyday.

She is very smart. She can tell you what a doggy say (wuf,wuf,wuf). She can also say dada, mom (mum), hi, cheese, no (she says no no no while shaking her finger at you). She knows the signs for food, please, more. She has 7 teeth (her first molar just poked through). She knows peek-a-boo, patty-cake, and likes to dance. Everyday I am amazed to see how she grows and develops. It seems like she can do something new everyday.

We are VERY EXCITED to welcome #2 in December!!

Yep, I am pregnant, just 6 weeks, so we have a long way to go, but we are excited. Daniel keeps telling me it better be a boy :)

While the kids were here, we took a trip on Frontrunner up to Ogden and visited the Treehouse Museum. It was a lot of fun! Here is Lucy on the train.

Grandma Faye is home!

Grandma Faye got home from her mission on Wednesday, and we went to the airport to welcome her home. Lucy loved the airport, she was looking around and watching all the people.

She helped me decorate a sign for Grandma Faye and liked holding it while we were waiting for the plane.

The other morning, I got Lucy breakfast and laid down on the couch while she ate. I was really tired and thought that I would just rest for a little while she ate and then I would get us both dressed and ready for the day. 45 minutes later, Daniel came in the room and I was asleep on the couch and Lucy was asleep in her high chair. I guess we were both tired!
