all clear....

I just wanted everyone to know that everything is fine. Thanks for everyone's concern! I rested yesterday and am back at work today feeling good. I am a little tired and my back is still a little sore, but I think that is just part of being pregnant. Lucy is going to stay in there for a little longer, we are excited to see her in February :)

A Little Scare...

Last night about 10:30 Amy was complaining of lower back pain. So i gave her a massage and we went to bed at about 11:30. Then at 5:30 AM she came and woke me up (i am sleeping in the famly room) and said her back hurt pretty bad. So she called the hospital and the on call doctor called her back and said we should go in. We arrived at Labor and Delivery about 6:15 AM they put us in a room right away and hooked Amy up so they could monitor the baby's heart and the contractions. Thats right Amy was having contrations about 2 min apart. But she was only dialated to a 1. So they hooked her up to an I.V. and got somthing to drink and said they would try to hydrate her and that should help slow the contractions. After some time they came back and said that didnt look like it was working so they were going to give some medication every 15 min for an hour and see if that would slow her down. after an hour and half they said that she was looking better on the contractions and that they would check her dialation again and if she wasnt dialated anymore we could go home. So she is not in labor her body was just practicing for 12 hours we got home about 10:30 AM and she is just relaxing in bed now.

Locked out

Last night, Daniel and I decided to go get a movie. When we got backed, we were walking up to our back door when I realized that I left our house keys in the car. The garage had already shut, so Daniel tried to use the keypad to open it again. Well, the cover on the keypad was frozen shut and the whole pad ended up coming off the wall and the electronic parts inside came out. So there we were, stuck outside in the freezing cold, only wearing sweatshirts and no key to get in the house. Luckily, I had my cell phone, so I called my mom to ask her to bring a key. Meanwhile, Daniel wanted me to go down to the neighbors to wait (he didn't want his pregnant wife to stand out in the cold), but then I realized that I had turned the dryer on before we left so we would have warm sheet when we got home. The dryer vent turned out to make a nice little heater and it wasn't too cold waiting for my mom. Sadly, this isn't the first time I was locked out of my house, but at least this time I had company and it makes for a fun story. :)
