5 years!!!

Yesterday marked 5 years since Daniel and I first met. We were set up on a blind date by my old roommate, who was dating Daniel's friend. I never could have imagined the journey we would take because of that blind date. It hasn't always been easy, we have definitely had our share of ups and downs, but we have been able to come through it all closer and more in love. Daniel and I have been through so many things together, and although it has been hard at times, I am so grateful for the "broken road" that has led us to where we are today. Daniel truly is my best friend. He knows me better than anyone else. I am so grateful for his unconditional love that allows me to be crazy, emotional, silly, sad, happy, or whatever mood I might be in. He puts up with them all :)

Thanks honey for being so great! Thanks for all the help and comfort you give me. I can't imagine starting a family with anyone else. Thanks for your goodness, love, and faithfulness. I love you!!

Are you okay?

So, I have a funny story about how I look post-pregnancy. Our nurse the last day in the hospital was from jamaica, we think. I had a hard time understanding her. We only had her for a few hours before we left for home. Anyway, she was in the room talking to us and she looks at me and asks if I feel okay. I say that I feel fine. She said, "you look really pale". I kind of just looked at Daniel and smiled, because I am always pale. My family constantly bugs me about it. She was not convinced. She proceed to pinch my checks and face to see if I had any color, and she looked in my eyes. She finally let it go, only to bring it up again when she came in the room a little later. I tried to tell her that I was always pale, but she never seemed fully convinced. She told me that I need to get out in the sun some more. She also said that if she was pale, no one would know. :)

We're Home!

This is Lucy in the car seat and ready to go home.

Daniel and I decided to eat our wedding cake finally (we forgot to eat it on our anniversary). I thought it would be fun to eat it when we brought little Lucy home, so here are some pics of the cake eating (no one got cake on their face this time :) ).

Little Lucy on the changing table, trying to stay warm.
