Sadly, the tree that has shaded our house for years and years grew old and died, and needed to be cut down. Here are some before and after pictures of our house.
This is a picture taken many years ago (that is my dad and his twin) you can see the tree in the upper left corner.

This is our house now. Even though the tree wasn't providing much shade or cover near the end, I feel like our house looks naked now.

I think it opens up the area and makes the house look cuter.
Wow, I can't imagine having a great tree like that with such a history! It is sad it had to go, but it I also think the house looks good with it gone.
