My Dad

Yesterday was my Dad's birthday, and I couldn't help but think about the legacy he left. He was always serving and sharing his testimony with others, something I am not very good at. Sometimes it feels so weird that he is gone, like it can't be true. I know he would love Lucy so much and she would have so much fun playing with him. I hope that I can keep his memory alive in our home, so that even though they won't meet here in the life, she will know him and want to be like him.

I love you Dad and miss you!!

PS Happy birthday Uncle Rick and Travis, we love you guys!!

What I loved most about Uncle Ken was how much fun he was to be around. He was always happy, always positive and was always having a good time. That is something I will always remember. Thanks Ken for bringing more to my life too.

Does that second picture down look like Lucy? Or maybe one of my babies? It really reminds me of someone. Third picture down your uncle with the darker hair looks like Jon.

I miss Ken too. I am sad that Lucy and Gracie didn't meet him and that James will never remember him. I never knew my grandfather, but my family always talked about him and told stories about him so I have always felt close to him. We have to do that for our children. That is why it is important to keep telling the stories and keeping him in our conversations. I am feeling sad because I forgot it was his birthday. I have usually called LuAnn or done a post to tell him happy birthday. He was such a great man and a sweet person. I miss him.

I totally love the picture of the family. It feels like an eternity ago. I cannot believe all that has changed since then. I have really been thinking a lot about Ken and I do miss him even though I did not get to be around him for very long he was an amazing person. I will definitely try to keep him in my conversations too! I want our kids to know him! and Laura I do think your right about the uncle looking like Jon! silly. I think I want to put that picture up with our new family pictures it is a good memory.
