6 weeks to go

We have just 6 weeks to go until my due date and it seems to have come so fast. I haven't done anything to prepare for this little baby and it doesn't seem real that we will have a little baby soon (I'm not sure I am ready for the sleepless nights). I think once I get all the baby stuff out it will feel a little more real.

Lucy is so much fun. Lately she has been going around saying "happy, happy, happy" and she has been playing with baby dolls a lot lately, changing diapers and feeding them. Not sure what prompted this, I haven't been teaching her. She likes to make sure you hear her, saying hi, bye, etc wherever she goes in a very loud voice. She likes to say "see lata" when she leaves and gives great hugs and kisses. She likes to sing 'itsy bitsy spider' (or at least do the actions). She has been singing random songs lately and usually she leads the song as she goes with her hand. She loves veggies, especially tomatoes and cucumbers. Whenever she does ring around the rosies, she has to fall all the way down on her tummy and kick her feet. She is good about folding her arms during the prayer, and always like to have mommy and daddy in her room for night time prayers.

We feel so lucky to have her and I look forward to seeing how she is as a big sister. I am excited to hold this new little girl and welcome her to our family. We are so blessed.

Happy anniversary...a little late

Last Wednesday, Daniel and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary. It is crazy how it seems like we have always been married and that we just barely got married at the same time. I love Daniel so much and am so grateful to have him in my life. He is an amazing dad and a wonderful husband and friend. He keeps me balanced and I am so grateful for all that he does for our little family!

For our anniversary, we went to Rodizio Grill for dinner and then he took me to see the latest Twilight movie (I'm not sure why I even see them because I don't like Edward, and the story line just makes me mad). Daniel sent me flowers at work that day, which was a wonderful surprise! (This picture was taken just the other day, as you can see the petals were starting to fall off)

Last week, Lucy and I were able to go to the Zoo with Jinii and Addy and it was so much fun!! I took the day off (after putting in lots of overtime in the past two weeks) and it was so nice to just be a mom for the day. Lucy had a blasts and loved seeing all the animals. It was great to play with Addy and Jinii and catch up with them, something we need to do more often!

The week before was the opening home game for the Utes. Lucy got to go to the game in her cute cheerleader uniform. She looked so cute and did pretty good at the game. She liked to stand on the steps beside the bench and cheer and loved the popcorn. I left early to take her home and put her to bed. She barely made it to the car before she was asleep.

Poor Baby B

Why poor baby B? Well, first of all, she doesn't have a name and Daniel and I can't agree. We have been calling her Baby B and Lucy points to my belly when you ask where Baby B is. Second, I am almost in my third trimester and this little baby girl has hardly been mentioned on this blog. When I was pregnant with Lucy, I blogged about it, wrote in my journal and recorded all my feelings. With this pregnancy, I haven't done any of that. The time has flown by so fast and I know that before I know this little baby will be here.

Despite the lack of blogging, we are very excited for this little baby to come. I bought some cute little newborn onsies, and can't wait to see her in them. I am not looking forward to the not sleeping thing, but I can't wait to hold this little baby girl. This pregnancy has been pretty easy, except the constant heartburn, but now I am on pepcid and now it has gotten tons better.

People ask if Lucy is excited, but she has no clue what is coming. I think she will handle the transition well (she has been so easy going with everything else) but who knows. She has been sleeping in the big bed and doing very good. I put a couple of chair up so she doesn't roll out and so far, she has been staying in the bed until I come get her.

Here is a my first belly picture of this pregnancy (about 26 weeks)

My little Lucy is not so little anymore

Lucy is 18 months old now and I can't believe how fast time has gone. She is all of a sudden a toddler and not my little baby. We have so much fun with her. She has been the best baby and brings so much happiness to out little family.

She now weighs 20 lbs 12 oz and is 31 inches long. She is learning and growing everyday.

Here are some things I love about Lucy....
-She is the friendliest kid ever!! I took her to a RS party the other night and she had a blast! She just walked around from one person to another, sitting on everyones laps, saying hi to everyone as she went. She goes visiting teaching with my mom all the time and when she graduates from YW, she should make a smooth transition into RS.
-She has gotten into the habit of calling Daniel by his name instead of Daddy. She walks around saying "naniel, naniel, naniel". Daniel hates it, but it makes my smile.
-She folds her arms and bows her head when we pray, and she has started to kneel with us as well.
-She loves to take lids off of things and put them back on. She also loves to play with her kitchen, putting things in the oven and taking them out again.
-She has been going to nursery and made an easy transition.
-She has slept in a big bed a couple of nights this week, and did just great!
-She loves to give kisses. Sometimes, when we are all laying in bed, she will push Daniel and my head together and make us kiss, then she will kiss us, and then she wants us to kiss again.
-She gives the BEST hugs!! And she gives little pats on the back when she has her arms around you.
-She loves shoes and always wants to put them on.
-She is so smart! She knows lots of words and she knows where her head, nose, eyes, ears, knees, feet, hands, mouth, tongue, and belly button are. I am amazed at what she understands. She understands so much of what we say now.
-She loves to feed Max (my mom's dog) the apples and pears that have fallen on the ground.
-When she says goodbye, she does this cute little pincher wave with her had that is so cute.
-She has the funniest 'stink' face that she will do on command.
-My brother's have taught her to scoll when you say BYU and cheer and do "touchdown" with you say "Go Utes"

Here she is helping mom put together the cabinet

She loves to put on Daniel's flip flops and walk around.
